Crash reports

Courtside can send the Courtside team a short report when something in the app fails, so it can be fixed even if you don't report it. It only does this if you say yes.

The first time you open Courtside

Courtside asks once per computer:

Send crash reports? When Courtside goes wrong, it can send us what failed and where in its code, with the app version and your system, so we can fix it.

Click Send crash reports or Don't send. Courtside remembers your answer on this computer.

What's sent, and what isn't

A crash report has:

  • what failed, and where in Courtside's code;
  • the Courtside version;
  • your system;
  • the names of the actions just before it (such as "undo"), not what you typed.

It never has your codes, matches, players' names or file names. Your home folder's path is removed, and so are your user and computer names.

To tell the team about anything else, use Report a problem.

Change your answer

  1. Open Menu → Settings and scroll to Crash reports.
  2. Tick or untick Send crash reports.

It's saved at once; you don't need Save settings. The choice belongs to this computer, not the season.

If the section says "This copy of Courtside doesn't send crash reports.", your copy was built without crash reports, and nothing is ever sent from it.
