Opening a video

Open the match video in the console to code from it, check codes against it, or play clips. The video plays in the video panel, frame-accurate, and the match remembers which file it was.

Open the match video

  1. Open the match.
  2. In the video panel, click Open video.
  3. Pick the video file.

Courtside opens these files: .mp4, .mov, .m4v, .mkv, .avi, .mts, .m2ts, .webm and .ts.

The match remembers the video. Next time, the panel says "Match video:" and the file's name, with two buttons:

  • Open it: open the same file again.
  • Another…: pick a different file.

With a video playing, Open… on the transport bar opens another one.

An imported .dvw that names its video offers that file in the same way.

Before you code from video

  • Sync the video if you coded the match live, or if the codes and the video don't line up. See Video times and sync.
  • Pick how codes get their times, exact or predictive, in Settings → Video.

Good to know

  • The video hides while a menu or dialog is open over it, and comes back when it closes.
  • If you go to the main menu and back, the video is still open where you left it.
  • Whether the video's location goes into an exported .dvw is your choice. See Exporting a .dvw.

If the panel stays empty or shows an error, see Video not showing.
