Playing the video
The transport bar under the video has the buttons, and every button has a key. The keys use Alt (⌥ Option on a Mac), so they work while you type a code.
Buttons and keys
| Button | What it does | Key |
|---|---|---|
| Back | Back 5 seconds. Shift-click: back 30 seconds. | Alt+J (⌥J); 30 s: Alt+Shift+J (⌥⇧J) |
| One frame back | Steps back one frame. | Alt+, (⌥,) |
| Play / Pause | Plays or pauses. | Alt+K (⌥K) |
| One frame on | Steps forward one frame. | Alt+. (⌥.) |
| Forward | Forward 5 seconds. Shift-click: forward 30 seconds. | Alt+L (⌥L); 30 s: Alt+Shift+L (⌥⇧L) |
Speed (1×) | Cycles through 0.25×, 0.5×, 1×, 1.5× and 2×. | slower Alt+Shift+, (⌥⇧,), faster Alt+Shift+. (⌥⇧.) |
| Sync | The match's first serve is at this frame. See Video times and sync. | |
| Open… | Opens another video. |
The keys can be changed in Settings → Keys. With no video open, they do nothing, so a key you share with something else still works there.
Next to the buttons, the timecode shows minutes, seconds and frames: 12:34.08.
The position bar
Click anywhere on the position bar to jump there.
The bar is also a map of the match:
- Rallies show as bands, each tinted in the colour of the team that won it.
- Codes show as small ticks underneath, one per code with a video time.
- Faults show as marks above, at each error Checks found (the first fault of a chain, not the issues that follow from it).
So you can see where each set is, find a long rally, or jump to a fault.
Jump to a code
Click a code in the code log, and the video jumps to its time. To step from touch to touch, press Alt+Shift+[ (⌥⇧[) and Alt+Shift+] (⌥⇧]). See Video times and sync.
